Ciutat Vella’s DosTrece has surely made a name for itself in the brunch circuit around Barcelona since its opening in 2003. Resting on a corner just a short walk away from La Rambla, the restaurant has become a go-to spot for locals to pass hours over specials like eggs Benedict, American pancakes, or french toast with fresh ingredients from the neighboring La Boqueria Market. They offer a large breakfast menu with a wide variety of dishes from eggs to breads to yogurts and fruit smoothies. For vegans, there are also options available, such as vegan french toast or vegan tofu scramble. With an international influence strongly present in their cuisine, you may feel at home with some of their menu options. Some of their plates are mexican-inspired. Their brunch menu is one of the few places in the neighborhood to serve bagels. When comparing it with the others in the area, their menu is hard to beat!
The space is full of light, with windows on two sides, which is received at all of the tables. The passersby, the music, and decor give the space a low-key ambiance. The environment combined with the cuisine is sure to make for a unique and highly enjoyable dining experience. In addition to the main space, there is a downstairs area reserved for the evening when the kitchen shuts down. The trendy spot turns into a lively bar and lounge in the late evening with a stage and live music downstairs.
If you’re not into brunch, head over to their Taco Tuesday or Miércoles Mexicanos for their food specials, offering 3 tacos for 5 euros, or 1 taco and a beer for 3,50. A daily brunch is offered from Monday to Friday from 10-17h, and and on Saturdays and Sundays from 13-17h with live music. Enjoy cocktail discounts daily starting at 18h.
