An endless summer is a reality with Barcelona’s plentiful sunshine and afternoons spent at Martinez.

All of its tables are open-air, so with this design in mind, the owners make it possible for everyone to enjoy our sunny climate and of course the wonderful panoramic views.  The vibe of Martinez is one of an endless-summer, with country-style lights strung off the balcony and the smell of seafood mixed with the fresh air.  In the area to the left there is an space with tables offering magnificent views.   In this part, the menu of 40 euros is offered — much worth the money.   There is an area with umbrellas with a menu to select different dishes and it’s not necessary to have the menu of the day, however does not have the views that the rest of the tables have.

As far as food goes, Martinez specializes in rice and paella, but in reality is much more than that.  Their menu offers spanish specialities including first and second plates, bread and a drink.  You’ll begin with a vermouth, and then continue with the rest of the meal while having glimpses of the Mediterranean and Barcelona’s brilliant architecture.  Some of the options to choose from from the set menu of 40 euros include paellas with lobster or different kinds of seafood.  If you want to splurge, with a 10 euro supplement you can choose the “Cazuela Martinez” which is the house specialty with lobster, monkfish, poached eggs and potatoes in a rice with more broth than a typical paella.  The menu comes with an drink, and it has an impressive list of wines to choose from, with options from different regions of Spain.
